One of the leading casinos in Atlantic City is now adding iGaming to its inventory.

Ocean Casino Resort has signed a multi-year agreement with PlayStar Casino and will launch its games during the fourth quarter of this year, subject to regulatory approvals and licenses from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE), according to a news release.

“We are very pleased to have secured access to the market in New Jersey, which is the world's third largest regulated gambling market. Our concept is based on the fact that our guests are ‘the star of the show’ and we will offer a unique experience to them,” Adam Noble, co-founder and executive vice president of PlayStar Casino, said in a news release. “New Jersey will be the first step for PlayStar Casino to become a favorite among players across the United States.”

Stockholm-based PlayStar Casino was founded by chairman Joel Wikell, a pioneer in the iGaming industry who established gaming supplier Boss Media in 1996 and sold the business to GTECH (now IGT) in 2008, according to the news release.

“For me, it is great to be back in the game as I founded Boss Media in the mid-nineties and brought many of the earliest online casinos to life,” Wikell said in the release. “To get back in at this time when the technology and possibilities have advanced so much, is genuinely exciting. And we’re looking forward to doing it all over again.”
